Indigo captures 57.7% of the aviation market in September, Vistara and Air India follow

Indigo carried 59.72 lakh air passengers during the month while Vistara carried 9.96 lakh, Air India came in third and carried 9.49 lakh passengers
Indigo led other airlines in September with a 57.7% share in the domestic aviation sector, Vistara secured second place with a 9.6% market share.
According to data from the aviation regulator for September, Indigo carried 59.72 lakh air passengers during the month while Vistara carried 9.96 lakh air passengers.
Air India was in third place with 9.49 lakh passengers and a market share of 9.2%. Similarly, Go Air, with 8.15 lakh air passengers, held a market share of 7.9% in September.
Domestic air traffic in the country continues to register growth, with passengers carried by domestic airlines from January to September 2022 standing at 8.74 crores compared to 5.31 crores in the corresponding period of the previous year, thus registering an annual growth of 64.61%.

Likewise, domestic passenger traffic in the country recorded a monthly growth of 46.54 percent, according to the latest data released by the aviation regulator.
According to the data, nearly 1.03 crore passengers were carried by domestic airlines in September in the country, compared to 70.66 lakh during the same period last year.
